Painted calipers are the cheapest change that makes a car look expensive, and behind an open-spoke wheel they are on show constantly. Done properly the wheels come off, the calipers are degreased and wire-brushed back to a sound surface, everything that should not be painted is masked — bleed nipples, slider pins, the disc face — and the caliper is coated in high-temperature enamel that will take the heat a working brake generates. Rushed jobs get sprayed in place through the wheel spokes: you get overspray on the disc, paint on the pins, and a finish that flakes off in a winter. Ours are done off the car. Any colour you want, and we can add a manufacturer or brand decal and lacquer over it. If you are having the wheels off anyway it is worth doing at the same time as a wheel refurb or an alloy fit — the labour is already spent.

Common questions
Will the paint survive brake heat?+
High-temperature caliper enamel is rated far above what a road car generates, and because the calipers are prepped and painted off the car the coating actually keys to the metal. The failures you see on other cars are almost always prep failures, not heat failures.
How long does it take?+
A full day. Most of that is prep and cure time — the painting itself is the quick part, and rushing the cure is how you get a finish that chips the first time a wheel goes back on.
Can I have any colour?+
Yes. Red is still the most asked for, then yellow, then gloss black for people who want it subtle. We can also colour-match to a wrap, which looks deliberate rather than bolted on.
Does it affect my brakes or my warranty?+
No. Nothing is dismantled, no hydraulics are opened and the friction surfaces are masked — the disc face and the pads are never painted. It is a cosmetic coating on the outside of the caliper body.
Can you paint the drums or the hubs too?+
Rear drums, yes, same process. Hubs and carriers can be done as well if you want the whole thing behind the spokes to look finished.
