Part Wrap & Chrome Delete from £295

at SK Zone, 36 Upper Brook Street, Stockport · approx 8 hours

Coloured vinyl being heated and worked around a panel edge
Heat, tension and patience around every edge. Tucked into the shuts, not trimmed flush at the seam.

Not every car needs a full colour change. A gloss black roof and mirror set, a chrome delete on the window surrounds and grille, a bonnet or a set of stripes — these are the cheapest way to make a standard car look deliberate. Chrome delete in particular is the single most-requested job we do: the bright window trim on most modern German and Korean cars is what dates them, and taking it to gloss or satin black transforms the profile for a fraction of the cost of a full wrap.

Estimate only — the final price is confirmed once we have seen the car. Nothing is charged online.

Common questions

What exactly is a chrome delete?+

Wrapping the bright metal trim — window surrounds, grille frame, badges, exhaust tips — in black film so the brightwork disappears. Gloss black is the common choice; satin is the subtler one.

Do I need to tell the DVLA for a part wrap?+

Only if the predominant colour of the car has changed. A black roof on a white car does not change the registered colour; wrapping the whole body does.

Can you wrap just the roof?+

Yes, and it is one of our most popular jobs — usually done in a day.
