PPF is a thick, optically clear thermoplastic urethane film — a different material to wrap vinyl and a different job. It takes the stone chips, road rash and car-park scuffs that would otherwise reach your paint, and light swirls heal out of it with heat from the sun or a hot cloth. Most people protect the front end: bumper, bonnet leading edge or full bonnet, wings, mirrors and headlights. Full-car PPF is available and is what we would recommend on anything with soft paint or a resale value worth protecting. Cut on a plotter to your exact model so there are no blade marks on your paint, with the edges wrapped where the panel allows.

Common questions
What is the difference between PPF and a wrap?+
A wrap is a thin coloured vinyl for appearance. PPF is a thick clear urethane for protection — it absorbs impacts that vinyl would tear on. Different film, different price, different purpose. You can have PPF over a wrap on the high-impact areas.
Does it really self-heal?+
Light swirl marks and fine scratches in the top coat, yes — warmth closes them. A deep gouge that has gone through the film does not heal, but it stopped at the film instead of your paint.
How long does PPF last?+
Five to ten years depending on the film and how the car is used. Quality film yellows far less than the cheap stuff, which is why we do not fit the cheap stuff.
Can you PPF just the front?+
That is the most common job — a front-end package covers where nearly all stone-chip damage actually happens.
